The Narwal Freo X Ultra is one of the best robot vacuums and mops I've tested. Its base station features a large water tank and dustbin, and its double rubber brush is less likely to tangle hair than single bristles.
Its mopping performance is excellent and its AI mapping is excellent at eliminating obstacles. It also has the capability to pause its cleaning work and resume where it left off.
1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo j9+ is one of the most advanced 2-in-1 mop and robot vacuum cleaners available on the market today. It has an elegant, self-emptying Clean Base which can be used to store up to two mopping cycles. It is designed to look and feel like a desk. It is also the only robot we tested with an onboard reservoir that automatically washes and refills the cleaning pads after each mopping and vacuum cycle.
The mopping arm sits unobtrusively on the top of the unit until it detects hard floors, and then lowers to begin cleaning. It moves slowly across surfaces to prevent spreading wet or muddy spills across carpeted areas. It is capable of staying clear of the path of cords, furniture, and other obstacles.
The iRobot Home App is smarter than many robot vacuums. It lets you modify the settings of your cleaner and prioritize rooms based on the amount of dirt, schedule cleaning times and much more. The app also offers detailed maps of your home, seasonal suggestions, custom cleaning routines, and intuitive smart-home integrations.
This robot-vac and mop uses iRobot's Imprint Smart Mapping technology to recognize objects, such as counters, sofas and tables. And it can be controlled by Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri to help you clean your home without hassle.

In terms of navigation In terms of navigation, the M12 utilizes LiDAR, IR, and 3D structured light to avoid obstacles. Its sensors are adept at finding larger objects, like HVAC vents, and furniture. They may have difficulty detecting smaller objects such as cables or small rags. This can cause robots to miss certain areas.
The M12 also has the ability to detect and navigate up stairs thanks to its built-in inclinometer. It also has the ability to automatically return to its OMNI Station to clean and dry mop brushes and to refill its water tank. If its batteries are low it can OMNI station will even automatically empty the dust bin and clean itself.
3. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is the cutting-edge in robot cleaning, packing an incredible number of features into an elegant package. It comes with a large mopping capacity and a camera to assist it in avoiding obstacles. It also has a powerful vacuum that can sense when it is sweeping over carpets. It also comes with advanced technology and voice assistant capabilities.
It's a powerful mop and vacuum cleaner. It was able to cover our 1,500 square foot test area within 101 minutes, and then the battery ran out and it returned to its dock. The mop is washed between uses, a feature that reduces maintenance costs and helps keep its pads clean. A dock sensor detects when a mop's pad becomes dirty and initiates a wash cycle.
The S8 MaxV Ultra, like its predecessors, features an intelligent system which can detect things that are commonplace, like pet waste and shoes using the combination of a camera and LIDAR. It did well in our evaluation of obstacle avoidance, with only one hiccup during my tests (it got stuck unwinding a wool ball that was wrapped around its brush arm).
The S8 MaxV Ultra features a suction force of 10,000pa which is more than twice more powerful than its predecessor. This makes it an excellent option for homes with lots of carpeting and different types of flooring. The vacuum can also be programmed to automatically increase suction when it's moving over dirt or crumbs.
Similar to the previous models, multiple docking stations can be set up to make it easier to clean and mop process. It can even be connected to your home plumbing with special docks that drain and refills the tank automatically after it's finished.

Its navigation system, which makes use of a camera and 3D structured lights, multiple lasers, and a 3D structured light to detect and avoid obstructions, is impressive. This makes the X40 Ultra receive one of the top scores in our evaluations for obstruction avoidance.
5. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is an impressively powerful mop and vacuum combination that has been developed to be easy for users. The gunmetal base station fills its own tank with clean water, empties the dust bin into a smaller container and ishes and drys its own mop pads in between cleaning sessions. It has advanced features that let it switch between carpets and hard surfaces, and eliminate pet hair from carpets and clean raised room thresholds.
The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping thanks to the internal dToF system. It is able to maintain a low-profile while still providing top-notch object detection. It drives close to walls without hitting them and avoiding steps, and it also automatically raises its mop when driving over rugs or short-pile carpets. However, it struggled with longer-pile carpets as well as large, thick messes of dried-on debris.
Like cheap robot vacuum like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to come out of the box and needs only the initial mapping run to get it used to your home. The map will then be displayed in the app and you can add or join rooms as you need to. You can also create virtual boundaries, no-go zones and no-mop zones if you don't want the robot to touch specific items.
The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up spills from hard floors due to its rotating mop head that puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability both to mop and vacuum is a great choice for homes that have two types of flooring. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning solutions (which are included in the box) makes it less adaptable than other robots which allow you to add your own cleaning products.
